Storytelling for Business: Farm & Produce
Friday 12:00-2:00pm 4/9
Storytelling: Sharing and telling. Stories help us connect with one another as well as motivate people to act. In this workshop, we will talk about how to tell your story in powerful and meaningful ways. We also will discuss sector-specific issues and concerns as well as practice storytelling.
Cost: This class is offered free of charge but space is limited! If you are no longer able to attend the class, please reach out to us so someone else can take your spot.
Instructor: Becky Holt has spent most of Her professional career telling stories in a variety of formats and styles. Her career began in journalism, where she was a newspaper and online editor for 20 years. Becky spent the past decade as the Development & Communications Director for COTS (Committee on Temporary Shelter) in Burlington, where she continues storytelling and helps her community more fully understand homelessness. Five years ago, she began helping nonprofit partners bring their stories to the broader community through the Vermont Story Lab. For her, story is about relationship, the powerful connection between one human being and another that can spur us to feel, to inspire, to act.
