Women & Politics Since 1800

Castleton faculty from the History, Geography, Economics, and Politics Department will provide insight into the history of women and politics from 1800 to the present.

Panelists include:

Associate Professor and Global Studies Program Coordinator Adam Chill: “A Transatlantic Sisterhood: Anti-Slavery and Feminism in the Early Nineteenth Century”

Associate Professor Andre Fleche: “Race and the Right to Vote: The Politics of the Early Suffrage Movement”

Professor and Political Science Program Coordinator Rich Clark: “The Gender Gap and Electoral Consequences”

Professor and History Program Coordinator Trish van der Spuy will moderate the panel discussion.
