The 1920s Style of Vermont’s Mill Girls: A Costumed Presentation

January 26 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Heritage Winooski Mill Museum

| Free

Dressing up in 1920’s attire is a favorite theme for costume parties because it’s the perfect excuse to break out feathers and fringe, but the decade was more than glitz and glam. In 1920, women went to work in Vermont’s textile mills in much more practical attire. This event is a chance to re-imagine what dressing up in the 1920’s meant for local mill workers. Please join us as textile historian Eliza West brings these women to life through a captivating costumed presentation.
Tea and light refreshments provided. RSVP appreciated: info@themillmuseum.org or #802-355-9937
This presentation is free and is part of Winooski’s First Month: Roaring 20’s citywide events.
