In celebration of the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote the National Archives Foundation has created the online initiative Rightfully Hers: American Women and the Vote. As a part of this series, the National Archives is offering six virtual sessions throughout the month of August highlighting historical moments from the women’s suffrage movement.
19: The Musical, tells the story of Alice Paul, Ida B. Wells, Susan B. Anthony, Carrie Chapman Catt, Inez Milholland and the suffragists who fought to get women the right to vote—the 19th Amendment. Join the writers of the book and lyrics, Jennifer Schwed and Doug Bradshaw, on August 25 at 5:00 p.m. ET for a discussion and video presentation of past performances.
