The League of Women Voters of Central Vermont is hosting a meeting in the Hayes Room of the Kellogg Hubbard Library to introduce those interested in learning about The League to the organization and its positions.
Founded in 1920, the League of Women Voters enjoys an enviable reputation as a nonpartisan political organization. In addition to expanding the voting franchise and engaging all voters, the League is interested in reducing the power of money, reforming immigration, improving healthcare and defending the environment. Its members, comprised of both men and women, are a community of persistent and tenacious activists determined in their drive to secure long-term change.
